Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has heaped praise on new AC Milan signing Mario Balotelli. In a recent interview the Dutchman said Balotelli is not only a great guy but he also has everything what it takes to become one of the best strikers in the world.

The 22-year-old Italian, who left Manchester City at the last day of the transfer window to join AC Milan, has been under a lot of criticism for his attitude during his spell at Etihad Stadium. But Van Persie insisted that he is a "great guy".
"I have always been a fan of Balotelli. He is quick, strong and is courageous. He has all the qualities a striker needs to succeed at the highest level," Van Persie was quoted as saying by NUsport.

"And he really is a nice guy as well. We spoke to each other every now and then when he still played at Manchester City.
"You have people who initially look like nice guys, but turn out to be different in the end. Balotelli is the exact opposite. He might not look like a nice lad, but he definitely is."
Balotelli and Van Persie will face each other on Wednesday night as the Netherlands host Italy at the Amsterdam Arena. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:30CET.
