After a 12-year-marriage, actor Robson Green and his former Page 3 model wife, Vanya Seager have divorced. The legal procedure took a mere 40 seconds in the High Court. The court granted Vanya a decree nisi, with the irretrievable breakdown of the marriage given as the grounds.
The couple, who married in 2001, actually separated two years ago and since this time communication between the couple is limited to text messages with regards to their son, Taylor, 13. Robson has confirmed this saying that the pair haven't actually spoken in the last two years but they both feel it is important to stay in contact for the benefit of their son.
Robson Green, best-known for his roles in dramas such as 'Soldier Soldier' and 'Casualty', has spoken openly about the split in recent interviews. The Geordie actor says that the decision for them not to speak was Vanya's, not his, and that he his unsure what this decision is based on or how she feels about him now. He goes on to say they were different people who simply grew apart and that the separation was not linked to his career.
The divorce spells the end of his second marriage. Robson's first marriage to occupational therapist Alison Ogilvie ended in 1999 after eight years together. They divorced following an affair between Robson and Pamela McDonald.
