Following the impressive performances that Everton delivered last season, along with the Summer additions to the squad, many expected that the club could once again challenge for a Champions League place this season, with some even tipping them as an outside chance to win the league. However, the start of the season for Everton has been less than impressive and their season is in danger of collapsing already.
Everton have had a slow start to the season

We are ony five games into the Premier League season but Everton have only managed one win and two draws and their five points from the opening five games sees them sitting in 14th place in the league, just one point above the relegation zone. With that said, it is still very early in the season and the Everton fans and players are still confident that they can turn their season around.

One player who has urged that everyone stick together through this rough patch, is £25m striker Romelu Lukaku, who has insisted that the players are going to give every game their all and hopes the fans will stick by them. Lukaku stated, "No matter what. We have to stick together and fight every single game."

Everton manager Roberto Martinez smashed the Everton transfer record, when he paid Chelsea £25m for Romelu Lukaku, who smashed in 15 goals in 31 games in the Premier League last season. With the style of football that the team like to play, we are sure it is only a matter of time before we see Everton back to winning ways.

Do you think Everton can still finish in the top four this season?
