Ronda Rousey on Saturday July 5 defeated her UFC bantamweight opponent, Alexis Davis to defend her title and in the process established herself as arguably the most dominant and fearsome fighter in the UFC, male or female. The mixed martial artist fighter did not just win the fight, she destroyed her opponent with the type of speed and clinical precision that is jaw-dropping and has many wondering when she will encounter an opponent that can actually 'test' her fighting ability.

The fight lasted 16 seconds which meant that if you turned your head to say hi to a friend or order a beer or even put your hand in your mini-fridge that you have beside your couch where you were sitting to watch the fight you could have missed the entire fight! Ronda Rousey. She hit her opponent with a left hook to the face, a knee to the body followed and then performed a perfect judoka flip of Alexa Davis to the mat where she landed on top of her and proceeded to punch her in the face until the fight was finished. Impressive, fast and precise. Forget the Navy Seals and James Bond, if you need someone taken out contact Ronda Rousey.

When a mixed martial artist fighter can earn the praise of Dana White and earn comparisions from MMA observers to one of his favorite fighters, Chuck Liddell, that fighter is someone incredibly special. Ronda Rousey is the type of fighter that fans should appreciate because her level of fighting ability is something rare which people will look back on years from now with even more awe than they do when talking about it in 2014.

Ronda Rousey showed the MMA community at UFC 175 what true 'dominance looks' like with her destruction of Alexis Davis.

She is going to be out of action for a little while as she has to have surgery on her right hand (knuckle) to remove a cyst but fans need not worry as she is left handed and the procedure is considered minor as is her other scheduled medical procedure, knee surgery which equates to a maintenance clean up.

During her time away from the sport she will be seen on the big screen in the movies "The Expendables" and "Fast & Furious 7" while Dana White and his team attempt to find fighters with the skill and physicality to compete with her but at the moment there is only one queen in the kingdom of the UFC and her name is Ronda Rousey.
