Ronda Rousey is not only the most popular fighter in the UFC but she is also someone who seems to have been taking in all the lessons of self-promotion from UFC President Dana White and putting them to work to ensure that she keeps the attention of the media, entertainment fans and fight fans.
The UFC bantamweight champion recently stated in an interview that she is confident she would defeat the world welterweight boxing champion in a no-rules event and this has resulted in several other UFC fighters voicing their opinions in support of her contention.
Ronda Rousey to some fight fans is taking a page directly out of the Dana White promotional manual of how to keep attention focused on the individual by making ‘grand' boasts of what they could do if they were involved in a fight.
She took the same approach several months ago when fans were literally salivating over the possibility of a Gina Carano vs. Ronda Rousey fight despite several entertainment observers noting such a fight would likely never take place because there was no way it could be of any benefit to Gina Carano.
A similar view is being espoused by some fight fans, observers and even Floyd Mayweather himself who has noted that no UFC fighter including Ronda Rousey has ever made $36 million for one fight let alone in a career.
She is very shrewd as she knows that fight fans, especially women, love when she attempts to draw the ire of another fighter, particularly someone such as Floyd Mayweather, arguably one of the most hated fighters because of his alleged ‘bad’ relationships with ex-girlfriends.
Ronda Rousey, a UFC fighter who is showing she mastered the art of self promotion in a manner that likely has her boss Dana White smiling from ear to ear.
