Well, it has been over a week now since the Game of Thrones season four finale aired and we are still talking about what a great season and a fantastic finale it was. There were so many highlights from the Game of Thrones season four finale itself, not to mention the season as a whole, so it is difficult to choose a favourite scene.
Game of Thrones has given us some great fight scenes over the past four seasons and the season four finale gave us a fantastic fight scene between The Hound, played by Rory McCann, and Brienne of Tarth, played by Gwendoline Christie. The two stars have now opened up about that impressive fight scene.
Rory McCann explained, "I think it's quite special this fight sequence, it is. It's brutal, it's really brutal. We come out here and there's slopes and mountains and we're up in the hill, and the rock is really, really, you can't get rougher rock than volcanic. Yeah, it was hard core."
Gwendoline Christie added, "It was glorious, it was epic, it was something mythical. Also, being a fan of the show, fighting against The Hound, Rory as the actor is a glorious, generous, funny, warm, wonderful person and, in the costume and make-up I look at him when he's acting and I'm confronted with a very frightening killer."
We were really big fans of The Hound over the past four seasons of Game of Thrones and it is a shame that the character was killed off. With that said, we cannot wait for the Game of Thrones season five premiere to air on HBO next year.
