The National Enquirer is reporting that Russell Crowe tried hitting on Amanda Seyfried during the filming of ‘Les Miserables’. The report alleges that despite Russell’s advances, Amanda wasn’t interested. An insider tells the Enquirer, “I think Amanda was probably grossed out by Russell’s come-ons. She’d be repulsed by the way he claims he’s trying to repair his marriage while flirting with her.”

The source added that Russell was “crazy for Amanda. Russell would show up on his bike while Amanda was walking her dog, and he’d try to tag along with her for lunch dates. He went overboard with compliments, raving about her lush golden locks, calling her ‘my beautiful Rapunzel.”
The source continued, “He even sent Amanda flowers and mushy e-mails, telling her how beautiful and talented she is and how he’d love to find another movie project for them. But who could blame Amanda if she is creeped out by him? His unruly beard and big belly make him look like Bigfoot!”

This is the National Enquirer, so take this with a grain of salt, especially when the source adds, “The problem is that Russell just can’t seem to control himself around pretty women. But Amanda definitely doesn’t want to get mixed up in his drama.” For one thing, Russell has been vocal about wanting to get back together with his ex-wife and bring his family back together, so it’s unlikely that he’s going around trying to hit on young actresses. Also, if he ‘couldn’t control himself’ around beautiful women, he’d be out of a job considering that every single one of his films contains at least one beautiful leading lady.
