The autopsy results for Ryan Dunn’s death have been released, along with those of the passenger Zachary Hartwell, by the Pennsylvania Chester County Coroner. The pair were killed in the early hours of Monday morning after Ryan Dunn crashed his Porsche 911 GT3, before it burst into flames.
It has now been confirmed that Ryan Dunn and Zachary Hartwell died, not only because of the flames that engulfed the vehicle but also due to a blunt force trauma. It is believed that both men were already dead by the time the local authorities arrived on the scene.
The toxicology report is expected to be revealed sometime within the next six weeks. It will then be made clear whether Ryan Dunn was in fact drunk or not. Roger Ebert caused uproar among Dunn’s friends by slating them for letting him drink and drive. Oscar De La Hoya also warned of the dangers of drink driving.
