It seems that the Southern Chinese enclave Macau is intent on taking over every aspect of every business going as it continues to have the fastest growing economy in the world. Macau has already taken over from Las Vegas as the biggest gambling city in the world.
Now it appears that Macau wants to take over a little bit more, as it sets its sights on taking over the movie industry in a bid to get more and more international tourists. Macau has been used as the backdrop of a number of movies already, including South Korean hit The Thieves and it seems that they hope to increase numbers further.
With the incredible skyline that Macau has to offer, it is no surprise that foreign film makers would be drawn to the city and it is only a matter of time before they begin to make money from the movie industry, as well as the money they already make from the gambling scene.
With that said, it could only be a matter of time before we start seeing the likes of huge Hollywood stars such as Ryan Gosling, Jennifer Lawrence and Johnny Depp strutting their stuff in Macau as they bid to take over the movie industry.
