Fans of Ryan Gosling are going to be confused by this next statement: "Ryan Gosling refuses to be the Sexiest Man Alive". The actor according to the online entertainment publication "The Wrap" he has been offered the honour of being People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive and each time he has turned it down.

The magazine has tried to anoint him with the crown of People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive but unlike his acting colleagues such as Bradley Cooper, Channing Tatum and the 2014 cove star Chris Hemsworth the actor has resisted every time and his 'team' has stopped the efforts to put the star on the cover.
Ryan Gosling has a very loyal fan base who understandably have had much difficulty understanding why their favourite actor has not been honoured with the designation as the "Sexiest Man Alive" while actors such as Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Johnny Depp have received the honour more than once but it seems that he considers himself too much of a 'real' actor.

The belief according to The Wrap (November 19) is that "he's too serious, too artsy" and does not want to be considered in that light.
However, while he does not want to be deemed as the Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine he is already held in such high regard by many of his fans and some have taken it a step too far. One lady, Grace Marie Del Villar took the step of harassing him to the point that he has had to take out a restraining order against her that was granted by the court to protect himself and his family.
Ryan Gosling's team has not responded to comments to the reports about how he feels about the honour but I suspect that he might one day take a look at how the publicity can help his projects and he could change his viewpoint on the honour in the future.
