It has been reported that US Olympic swimming gold medallist Ryan Lochte is set for a huge pay day to appear on the new season of The Bachelor. Ryan is reportedly in talks with ABC and it has been claimed that he could be set to make $750,000 (£475,000), although that figure could yet rise to $1m (£633,000) once negotiations begin.
A source explained to Radar Online, "Ryan's agents are getting besieged with offers and deals, everything from The Bachelor, his own reality show, and some overseas movies.” However, it is far from being a done deal as Lochte has concerns over how appearing on The Bachelor would affect his image.
The insider added, "Ryan is acutely aware that he has to attach himself to the right projects and endorsements that won't do damage to his all-American image. As much as he'd like to do it, Ryan does have some reservations about The Bachelor because he wouldn't have any control on how he is portrayed on the show."
Ryan Lochte certainly seems keen on the idea of appearing on The Bachelor after he recently admitted that, now he has finished his training for the London 2012 Olympics, he feels that the time is right “to give that perfect someone my heart”.
