Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds is not stranger to playing a comic book character on the big screen, with the lead role in the much criticised Green Lantern movie. Also, before that, Ryan appeared in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool and there was talk of a standalone movie being made.

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool
Now, Ryan Reynolds has opened up about the issues with the Deadpool movie, claiming that the studio is not too keen on making it an R rated movie, while the writers and producers are only interested in making it that way.
Reynolds was chatting with the folks over at Hey U Guys, when he explained, "It's up to the studio. The studio I think is reluctant to pull the trigger on such a hard Rated-R script. Then the guys who wrote it and the producers won't make it unless it's that hard and, you know, raunchy."

The Croods poster
Ryan Reynolds has leant his voice to a character for the animated movie The Croods, along with Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone and Catherine Keener, with the movie set to hit the big screen, in both the US and the UK, on March 22.
Are you hoping that a Deadpool standalone movie does get made?
