Ryan Seacrest has revealed how he had no idea what was going to happen, when Sacha Baron Cohen approached him for an interview on the red carpet at the Oscars 2012. Sacha was at the Oscars as his character from his upcoming movie The Dictator and was carrying an urn with the face of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il on it. He then emptied the urn all over the jacket of Ryan Seacrest before being dragged away by security.

Seacrest explained, "I definitely did not know that he was going to do that. He comes over, and I asked him a couple of questions, but, you know that feeling in your gut. You feel like, 'This is going too normally'. I saw the urn coming up. It was getting closer to my chest, and then it tipped over, and it wasn't the wind. He spilt it on my tuxedo."
Ryan Seacrest also admitted that it could have been much worse, if he had not followed his mothers advice, who told him "always make sure to bring two jackets, because you never know what's going to happen". Many other celebrities have criticised Sacha Baron Cohen for the prank, with Jonah Hill claiming that he does not believe that the Oscars is the place to upsell your own movie.
