Salma Hayek is known all over the world for her stunning beauty. Luckily, the star has made her beauty tips available to any who ask. How she keeps her youthful appearance may seem odd to some, but obviously these tactics work.
In direct contrast to conventional wisdom, Salma tells fans you should only wash your face once per day - before bed.
"Don't wash it in the morning, at all, never. Because at night your skin is rebuilding some of the oils that you need to keep your skin young, and it balances the PH."
Of course, to make sure this method really works, you'll want to get your face really, really clean before bed. Still, that doesn't mean you should use harsh soaps, either. The star emphasises that using products made from natural ingredients is very important. Chemicals aren't good for the skin. Another thing Hayek insists is bad for the skin? A low-fat diet and too much exercise.
"I will not have Botox. You know why? Because I eat! I eat the fat, I eat the vegetables, I eat everything. If you exercise too much and you don't eat enough, it takes its toll on the skin. Everything starts aging."
As for where she learned all of these beauty secrets? Salma Hayek credits her grandmother, who she said was a herbalist and natural healer in the Mexican village where she grew up.
