Sam Claflin recently turned up at the Collabor8te Film premiere in London to support the film and his friends, as well as the growing number of independent and collaborative filmmakers. While he was there, he had a chance to speak to Red Carpet News TV about going back to Hawaii to finish up the Catching Fire shoot, saying, “I’m going off to finish the Hunger Games at the end of the month. We have a week left of filming so I’m excited about that coming out and very nervous [laughs].”
He discusses working with Jennifer Lawrence, saying, “She’s a diamond. She is very hardworking and at the same time, she’s one girl who likes to have fun, you know. She’s very grounded and I think I can class her as a good friend.”
He also explains the differences between the Hunger Games and Catching Fire, saying, “It’s a very different story. You know, there’s new characters, my character being one of them, a new director, so it’s going to be a very different outlook, you know? A very different feel to it. I mean, I’ve not seen anything back so far so I’m excited about how it might turn out, and I have faith in Francis and I’m sure it’ll be bigger and better than the last one.”
Many are predicting Claflin to breakout with his role as Finnick Odair in ‘Catching Fire’, but he also has a possible return to another franchise with the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. He says that he would be excited to return to the SWATH sequel, but doesn’t give away any more details. Claflin’s other movie ‘The Quiet Ones’ has also been picked up for UK distribution and should be in theaters soon. For those Sam Claflin fans, it looks like you won't have to wait until November to see him in theaters.
