British actor Sam Claflin is a star very much on the rise and next appears on the big screen in the upcoming horror movie The Quiet Ones, which seems to have really challenged the talented star. Sam has admitted that filming a horror movie is very difficult, as you do not have the scary music or sound effects to respond to.
Claflin was a guest on Radio One, when he said, "During filming we found it reasonably difficult, not going to lie. Trying to film a horror movie without the music or sound effects to react to, instead you have a director behind the camera going 'screech', 'scrape','bang', 'door slam', it's how it works. And you're going, 'Is this gonna be scary? I don't know if it works...'"
Sam even went on to admit that how a horror movie is really made could actually make for a very interesting movie in itself, even as a comedy film, ''I think it would make for a great comedy, to do a really bad horror movie and to see a behind-the-scenes of what really happens on a horror movie," he added.
Sam Claflin did a lot of research into his role for The Quiet Ones, as he wanted to make sure that he gave the best performance possible. The Quiet Ones is set in the 1970s and Sam says it was very interesting to learn about the technology used at that time.
You can catch Sam Claflin, along with Jared Harris, Erin Richards and Olivia Cooke, in The Quiet Ones, which opens on April 25 in the US, while the film is already out now in the UK. Check out The Quiet Ones trailer below.
