It seems that it’s been a while that ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ has been filming, but in reality, it’s only been a couple of months. They filmed in Atlanta for most of the fall, taking a break for thanksgiving, and then heading out to Hawaii to shoot the rest of the arena scenes. Behind-the-scenes photos have been leaking from the Hawaii set, first here, and then here.
Now, Sam Claflin, who plays Finnich Odair, has tweeted about the last day of filming, saying, “It’s the last day of filming TheHungerGames #Catching Fire and I’m missing it already. Thank you all for making it an incredible experience.”
Stephanie Leigh Schlund, who plays Cashmere, has also tweeted about the last day, saying, “A wonderful chapter in life has come to a close. What an amazing blessing! My thanks to God, #D1 #Cashmere. Had the BEST time! #CatchingFire”
The film is set to release in November 21st of 2013, and will star all of the returning cast [Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth again in the leads], along with new members Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Amanda Plummer, Jeffrey Wright, Lynn Cohen, Bruno Gunn, Stephanie Leigh Schlund, Meta Golding, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
