Sam Mendes is the latest director to tackle a James Bond movie, as he directs the latest instalment Skyfall and Sam has been discussing the latest actor to portray 007. Daniel Craig has played James Bond in the last two movies, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace and he will be playing Bond again in Skyfall and Sam has had nothing but kind words to say about the actor.
Mendes explained, “The roots of me doing this movie start way before anybody approached me, because I, like anyone else, have my own personal relationship with Bond, which began when I was nine or ten years old. I’ve always been a fan of the movies.”
He added, “I was genuinely blown away by Casino Royale. I felt Daniel Craig was a real man in a real situation again. It reminded me of the way I felt when I watched the Sean Connery movies. So for me it was not actually that difficult a decision.” Skyfall is currently still in the process of filming but you will be able to see Daniel Craig in his third outing as James Bond when Skyfall hits the big screen on October 26 in the UK and November 9 in the UK.
