Daniel Craig as James Bond
According to the Daily Mail, Sam Mendes is now 75% of the way towards doing the next Bond film. Although nothing has yet been officially confirmed about Sam being involved in Bond 24, which is what it is currently being called, it does seem that he is working on the movie.
A few months back, it was confirmed that Sam Mendes was involved in the project, as Skyfall co-writer Robert Wade stated that Sam and John Logan, who also worked on the Skyfall screenplay, had come up with a story for the next James Bond flick.

James Bond in Skyfall
There is no denying that Sam Mendes would be a huge favourite to direct Bond 24, considering the impressive job he did with Skyfall, which has become the highest grossing James Bond movie ever, as well as becoming the seventh highest grossing movie of all time.
Expect official confirmation of Sam Mendes' involvement sometime in the near future.
