Ever since the moment that it was announced that Disney had bought the rights to the Star Wars franchise and that they were bringing us a new trilogy, there has been plenty of talk about who fans would like to see in Star Wars: Episode VII. While film makers rarely listen to what fans want from a movie, it seems that J.J. Abrams and co. have been taking fans opinions on board for Star Wars: Episode VII.
One name that has been mentioned time and time again as a possible candidate for a Star Wars: Episode VII role is Being Human star Sam Witwer and it looks like fans have finally got their wish. While some fans were calling for Sam to land the role of a Sith in Star Wars: Episode VII, he has actually been cast as a Jedi Knight, playing the role of Ben Skywalker.
For those of you who are not too familiar with your Star Wars history, Ben Skywalker is the son of Luke Skywalker and his wife Mara Jade Skywalker. Ben Skywalker has red hair and blue eyes, so it will be interesting to see how Sam Witwer will look with these attributes, as he has dark hair and dark eyes.
While Sam Witwer will play the role of Ben Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode VII, it is also expected that we will see Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia and Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, while Anthony Daniels is expected to return as C-3PO. Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to open on December 18, 2015.
