The term "legend" is thrown around all too often these days, with many people being referred to as a Legend, when the truth of the matter is they have never really done anything worth of being given such praise. However, when it comes to the Hollywood veteran Samuel L Jackson, the term legend is very fitting for a many who has been so great for so long.

One thing that many people feel is missing from Samuel L Jackson, is the fact that he has never won an Oscar, and what is even more surprising is the fact that he has only ever been nominated once. Sam has now been talking about the possibility of never winning an Oscar, insisting that it does not matter, as people will be quoting many of his lines from movies for the rest of time.
Jackson explained, "I don't have an Oscar. But I don't think it will define my career if I never get one. No one is saying 'Ah man, he worked all those years, and never got an Oscar, he's such a failure! There are people who have spent their whole career acting, and not one person can remember a word that they have said."

As well as talking about the fact that he is not too bothered about whether he ever wins an Oscar or not, Samuel L Jackson also went on to talk about his upcoming new movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage. Sam reprises his role as Augustus Gibbons in the movie, and he has been teasing what fans can expect from his character this time around.
Jackson added, "I see myself as someone who gives people an opportunity to get away from their everyday lives for two hours. He said: ''I play the same cat I always have. I go to [the leads]. I tell them what to do. I come back and I say, good job."
xXx: Return of Xander Cage is out now in both the US and the UK.
