The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow, getting bigger and better with every year that passes. The Marvel movie The Avengers is one of the biggest grossing movies of all time, managing to rake in an impressive $1.52bn worldwide, so it was no surprise when it was announced that a sequel to the film was being made.
Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson plays the role of Nick Fury in the Marvel movies and he will reprise the role for Avengers: Age of Ultron, although it seems that we will not see a lot of him. While talking about reprising the role of Nick Fury in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Sam said that his appearance in the movie is going to be little more than a glorified cameo.
Jackson was chatting to the guys over at Yahoo, when he explained to them, "I’m just kind of passing by there you know. I’m not doing so much, I don’t think. Because, it’s another one of those ‘people who have powers fighting people who have powers’. That’s why I didn’t get to New York in The Avengers. There’s not a lot I could do except shoot a gun.”
As well as seeing the return of Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Avengers: Age of Ultron will also see the return of Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Avengers: Age of Ultron will open on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
