While most of the talk over the past few days, and for the next few days, is all about the Oscars and who will win what award, it seems that things have taken a different turn for actress Sandra Bullock. While everyone should be talking about her chances at winning an Oscar this Sunday, people are instead talking about something else completely.
Following the huge success of Gravity, Sandra Bullock was confirmed as one of the nominees for the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 2014 Oscars, which was a good call as she did put in a great performance in the film. Sandra won an Oscar for her role in the 2009 movie The Blind Side and would no doubt love to add another one to her collection.
However, instead of people talking about her performance in Gravity or her chances of winning the Oscar, everyone is instead talking about her pay check for doing the film. It has been reported that Sandra Bullock is set to earn around $70m for her role in Gravity, an absolutely huge amount of money for any actor in Hollywood.
The reason Sandra Bullock is set to make so much money from Gravity is because, according to the reports, she signed a deal with $20m upfront, plus 15% of what the movie makes at the box office, which is expected to be around $750m. Sandra managed to bag herself such a good deal, as she signed on to the Gravity right off the back of her Oscar success in 2010.
As for her Oscar chances this year, you will just have to tune in on Sunday, March 2 to find out if she has been successful.
