It was just last year when it was announced that Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment were planning on making a Despicable Me spinoff, which would centre around the minions. Now, it seems that casting is well underway for the movie, which has been simply titled Minions.
Sandra Bullock will voice the main villain
The guys over at Deadline have reported that Sandra Bullock is set to lend her voice to the main villain of the movie Minions. Sandra will voice the character Scarlet Overkill, who is your typical super villain, who is hell-bent on World domination. Aren't they all?
Minions will be set in the 1960s and will give us a good look at how the Minions have been around for so long and have always had that lovable incompetence about them. The minions will again be seen on the big screen in Despicable Me 2, which is released on July 3, before Minions hits us on December 19, 2014.
