Saoirse Ronan gets to do what millions of teenage girls only dream about: kissing Max Irons and Jake Abel in Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Host’. While the popularity of ‘The Host’ doesn’t match up to that of Twilight, it’s still considered to be a sure-fire hit when it comes out on March 29th.

Saoirse was recently featured in InStyle Magazine while promoting the film, and she discussed what it was like to be filming a love triangle [or in the case of the film, a ‘love box’]. She explains, “There’s a lot of kissing with co-stars Max Irons and Jake Abel, which sounds a bit sleazy, but it’s only because I’m playing two characters. At least that’s the excuse I’m going with.”
In the same interview, Ronan also says that despite being 18 and a world-famous star, all she wants is a driver’s license, adding, “I’m old enough to have a Guinness in Ireland, but what I really want is a driver’s license so I can get an ’80s BMW like my dad had.”

Ronan is currently filming the ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ in England, but she will pause filming on that to go into promotion for ‘The Host’ towards the end of this month. Her 2013 slate is quite busy, with roles in Ryan Gosling’s ‘How to Catch a Monster’ as well as the leading role in Working Title’s ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.
