Ryan Gosling is without doubt, one of the most accomplished actors in the business at the moment and is certainly a guy very much in demand. However, Ryan is taking a bit of a break from acting, to try his hand at directing his very own movie.
Ryan Gosling's directorial debut is titled How to Catch a Monster and is really beginning to put a rather impressive cast together. Ryan has already managed to persuade his girlfriend Eva Mendes to be in the movie, as well as casting Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks.
Now, it has been reported that City of Ember actress Saoirse Ronan has signed on to join the ever-growing cast of How to Catch a Monster. It adds to the already fairly busy schedule for the Irish actress, who currently has six movies in production and will next appear on the big screen next month, in the movie adaptation of the Stephenie Meyer novel The Host.
As well as starring Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks and Eva Mendes, How to Catch a Monster also stars Matt Smith and Ben Mendelsohn. As well as directing How to Catch a Monster, Ryan Gosling has also penned the screenplay for the movie, which is set to begin shooting in May, with a view to a 2014 release date.
