Sarah Hyland continues to make strong choices in her career, which is at a critical stage after the success of Modern Family. She has made a solid early step to join the cast of the upcoming 'Bonnie & Clyde' miniseries that is being made by Lifetime and the History channel.

The miniseries will air in four different parts, and it follows the infamous bank robbers who were at their heyday during the Depression era. The two lead roles of Bonnie and Clyde will be played by Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger, but Sarah has the role of Blanche Barrow. Blanche is the wife of Clyde's brother Buck, who is one of Clyde's partners in their initial gang.
Apart from Modern Family, Hyland hasn't really appeared in much else, barring a few TV and TV movie appearances here and there.

Sarah Hyland is building on buzz from 'Modern Family'
She had a small, supporting role in 'Struck By Lightning' and appeared in some other minor roles in the 2011-2012 period. However, this would mark her first 'serious' role away from Modern Family [not that Modern Family is serious in any way], and she could continue to use this momentum to book projects of more prestige.
