It has been reported that former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to team up with legendary Oscar-winning funnyman Robin Williams (Good Will Hunting) for a new CBS comedy pilot. The show, which will be a workplace comedy, is titled Crazy Ones and the pilot will be written by David E. Kelley.
Crazy Ones will centre around the Roberts and Roberts advertising company, which is run by Simon Roberts (Robin Williams) and his daughter Sydney Roberts (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and the dynamics of the relationship between father and daughter.
While Simon Roberts is technically the man in charge, while Sydney is the Creative Director, Sydney regular finds herself having to parent her father, while pushing to improve herself and the company as a whole.
The pilot episode of Crazy Ones is being penned by David E. Kelley, who will also executive produce alongside Dean Lorey, Bill D'Elia, John Montgomery and Mark Teitelbaum. Meanwhile, Jason Winer (Modern Family) is the man being given the responsibility of directing the pilot episode, which is expected to begin shooting in the coming weeks and will air later in the year on CBS.
