Ringer actress Sarah Michelle Gellar has revealed how her reactions to being called Buffy have changed over the years as she has matured as a person. Sarah starred in the hit vampire television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer from 1996 until 2003 and has admitted that she used to hate people in the street calling her Buffy, something which she has learnt to be more appreciative of.
Gellar explained, "Back then, if you'd called me Buffy I would probably have been really annoyed. Now, of course, I get it and I'm appreciative of it. But that's something that comes with maturity, which most people don't have when they're 24 years old." Sarah also discussed her role model status, admitting that she did not want to give off a bad impression to young girls.
She added, "I just didn't want to be seen with a drink in my hand. People looked up to Buffy, and she was a character that girls respected." Sarah Michelle Gellar can next be seen in the latest episode of her hit The CW television series Ringer, when the next episode airs on Tuesday night at 9pm ET on The CW.
