Different stars in Hollywood have different paths towards Hollywood stardom and, while some manage to find themselves making a name for themselves as a Hollywood star from a very young age, there are others who have had plenty of real jobs prior to becoming successful in the acting game. While some of these jobs have been less than glamorous, there are some that have actually been rather exciting.

Take Hollywood actress Sarah Shahi for example, she spent plenty of time as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader before she made a name for herself as an actress in Hollywood and she has opened up about her previous career. Sarah says that, while there are some negatives about being involved in the cheerleading game, she is still thankful for those days, as they were good preparation for what Hollywood brings.
Shahi told Fox News, "It was very competitive I will say that, it was a great learning experience at the same time. Those cheerleaders make show business look like babies foreplay. They weigh you to the 100th of a pound. If you're above your goal weight you have to sit outside of that week's game. When it's time for water breaks the veterans go first. It's not a democracy. With all that being said, I'm not trying to paint them out to be villainous in any way. I learned a great deal about what it's like to be disciplined and rehearse. We rehearsed for eight hours a day every single day and I was a full-time college student. To be able to have that kind of foundation going into Hollywood was fantastic."
