There have been some pretty strong characters on television shows and in movies over the years but, as is often complained about by many, we do not often get to see enough strong female characters being produced. There have been the occasional strong female roles over the years but nowhere near as many as some people would like.
With that said, it does seem that somebody somewhere is listening, as we have slowly but surely seen the amount of strong women, on both the big screen and the small screen, increase. One such strong female character is that of Shaw from Person of Interest, who is played by the beautiful and talented Sarah Shahi.
Sarah has opened up about playing Shaw in Person of Interest and has admitted that the character is one of the toughest that you could ever imagine coming across. Shahi was chatting to the New York Post, when she explained, "She is incredibly hard. If Jason Bourne and Catwoman had a baby, Shaw would definitely be it." That is pretty tough!
As well as talking about her character in Person of Interest, Sarah Shahi also admitted that she would love to one day shave her hair off. We seriously hope she reconsiders that one. Fans of Sarah Shahi can catch her in her now familiar role of Shaw, in Person of Interest season three, which continues to air on Tuesday evenings on CBS.
Who do you think is the toughest female character around?
