It has been reported that Sawyer Sweeten is dead at the age of just 19. According to the reports, Sawyer, who appeared in the hit television sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond as a child, took his own life at his family home in Texas, much to the devastation of his friends and family.
The Sweeten family issued an official public statement, which read, "This morning a terrible family tragedy has occurred. We are devastated to report that our beloved brother, son, and friend, Sawyer Sweeten, took his own life."
Meanwhile, Sawyer's sister Madylin, who also had a role in Everybody Loves Raymond, took to Facebook to urge people around the world "to reach out to the ones you love,” before then adding, “Let them have no doubt of what they mean to you."
Sawyer Sweeten played the role of Geoffrey Barone in 139 episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, between 1996 and 2015. He starred alongside his twin brother Sullivan Sweeten, who played the role of Michael Barone, with the two first appearing on Everybody Loves Raymond at the age of just 16 months.
It is always a very sad thing to learn about the death of a former television star, or any star in general for that matter, especially one so young. We would like to take this opportunity to send our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends at this tragic time.
