While there have always been actors in Hollywood over the years who have decided to turn their hand to directing, such as the likes of Clint Eastwood and Kevin Costner, it seems that this era of Hollywood stars is seeing more than ever taking to the directors chair, with plenty more set to make the move in the near future.
Over the past few years, we have seen a number of Hollywood stars take up directing and, after starring alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in his directorial debut Don Jon, it seems that actress Scarlett Johansson is the latest to have caught the directors bug. Scarlett has admitted that she would love to move into directing in the future and has already made some preparations for her directorial debut.
Johansson was chatting to Contact Music, when she told them, "I want to get into directing and I will at some point. I already bought the rights to some books. I'm in a point at my life where I'm sure of my choices and I'm interested in so many things."
There is no denying that Scarlett Johansson is an extremely talented woman who has not only proven herself as an actress over the years, but has also shown that she is a more than capable singer too. We have no doubt that, when Scarlett does finally take to the directors chair, she will produce something very impressive. We cannot wait.
