There are some occasions in Hollywood, when a movie can make a huge amount of money at the box office, simply because it has one of the biggest names in the business starring in it. Equally, a Hollywood movie project can be a huge hit simply because it is based on some other source material, with the fans from that material flocking to see what they have done with things.
So you would expect that it would be a big surprise that a Ghost in the Shell movie, starring Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson would actually be a flop, right? Well actually no. The fans of the original Ghost in the Shell material were angry that a white american actress had been cast in the lead role, rather than an Asian star, which clearly hit the movie hard at the box office.
However, Scarlett Johansson is not one to let a negative movie experience get the better of her and she is still regarded as one of the biggest and best actresses in Hollywood, so it is no shock that she is already moving on to her next project. Scarlett, along with a string of other big names, will lend her voice to a character in the new Wes Anderson animated movie Isle of Dogs.
Those other big name stars include the likes of Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Murray, Liev Schreiber, and Frances McDormand, among many others. As for Wes Anderson, he is directing Isle of Dogs, as well as penning the screenplay for the movie, which has already started filming and is expected to open some time in 2018.
