From the moment that it was announced that Australian superstar Hugh Jackman was finally going to step down from his role as Wolverine, there have been plenty of rumours and suggestions about what is going to happen with the character in the future. Some want Wolverine to be left alone for a few years in order to let the memory of Hugh Jackman pass a little before bringing him back to the big screen, while others have been calling for a number of different actors to take over in the near future.
One actor whose name has been mentioned on a number of occasions is the very talented Scott Eastwood, who does seem like he could well be perfect to take over from Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Now, Scott has been talking about his love of the character admitting that, if there was a chance for him to play Wolverine in the future then he would love to do it.
When asked about the possibility of playing Wolverine, Eastwood shared, "I love Wolverine. He’s one of my favorite comic book characters of all time. He’s a renegade. Total badass renegade. He’s kind of, you know, a loose cannon…doesn’t play by the rules…he’s the kind of character that I love.100%."
For now, there does not seem to be any real news on what they are going to do with Wolverine in the near future but, if they are going to recast the character then they could do a lot worse than going for Scott Eastwood to take on the role. We think he could make a great Wolverine for many years.
