The word legend is thrown around a little too much these days and given to people who have hardly done enough to warrant being called a legend but, in the case of Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood, the word legend is almost an understatement. Clint has been in the movie making industry for decades now and has done it all in his career.
Clint Eastwood is getting on a bit these days and his son Scott Eastwood is now continuing to keep the family name going strong in Hollywood, following his father into the movie business. Scott has now spoken about his relationship with his father, revealing some of the important things that he learnt from Clint over the years.
Scott explained, "He didn't care what I did. He didn't care if I was a plumber or if I was an actor. He said, 'Whatever you do just do it well. Just be humble about [what you do], and be a good guy and tell the truth.' We grew up in an area where men were sort of men and I can't thank him enough for teaching me just to go out there. He didn't care what I did."
As well as praising Clint Eastwood for giving him good advice about doing what he wants to do, as long as he is happy doing it, and teaching him many things about the way of life, Scott Eastwood also spoke about learning from his father on the set of his movies. Scott says that he would regular visit Clint on set, where he managed to pick up plenty of tricks over the years.
He added, "It was great to see the master at work and be a part of it. I think when I was in high school, maybe I was a little too cool for it or maybe girls were more important, I don't know. But then I realised 'This is a great life - I want to do this. So I better figure it out.'"
Clint Eastwood tends to spend more of his time behind the camera these days but we hope to see him on the big screen at least one more time in the future.
