Professional tennis player Serena Williams is in Paris, France for the French Open but she revealed a side of herself that showed why she is beloved by so many on the tennis circuit and her fans. Good friend Caroline Wozniacki recently suffered a traumatic breakup of her high profile relationship with golfer Rory McIlroy who broke up with her after she had sent out the invitations for their wedding.

Serena Williams was going to be one of the bridesmaids at the wedding. This breakup occurred while Serena Williams was preparing for the French Open and yet she immediately went into best friend forever mode. She not only released a tweet to her friend letting her know that she will "# I will always walk with you, friends forever#" but she took time out of her schedule to take her friend out for dinner and they also partied the night away when she arrived in Paris.

Fans know her as one of the most fierce and competitive women on the tennis circuit, her temper is legendary and she has a hatred for losing that is unsurpassed. However, off the court she is considered one of the nicer people that one will come across and as she demonstrated recently is one of the type of friends that people want to have in their corner.

Serena Williams played her first match against French player Alize Lim and she won 6-2, 6-1 in what for her was a 'sloppy' match but it enabled her to move to the second round. The match was important as she is a professional tennis player but her actions showed that Serena Williams is not only the best women tennis player in the world but she is also a good friend.

Look out Paris Open, don't be surprised if Serena Williams wins this tournament and becomes even more loved by the fans both for her play on court and her actions with her friend off the court.
