There are a lot of young and talented actresses in Hollywood at the moment and, one of the best of the bunch would have to be The Spectacular Now actress Shailene Woodley, who is being tipped to become as big as Jennifer Lawrence. This is due to the fact that Shailene plays the lead role in the upcoming movie Divergent, which is being compared to the hit film The Hunger Games.
Also, just like Jennifer Lawrence, Shailene Woodley has been proving that she has a good acting range, by also taking on a number of smaller projects, proving herself in different roles. With Divergent about to get its big release, Shailene has been doing a lot of interviews and, in one of her more recent ones, she gave an insight into her approach to acting, admitting that she does not over analyse things.
Woodley stopped for a chat with the guys over at NPR, when she explained to them, "I don't really work that way. For me, it's about being fully present and actively listening to every single thing that's going on around me and reacting to it. Because I feel the second I premeditate something, it's going to feel premeditated."
As for Divergent, Shailene Woodley will share the big screen with the likes of Theo James, Zoe Kravitz, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller and Maggie Q. Divergent is directed by Neil Burger, based on the screenplay that was developed by Evan Daugherty and Vanessa Taylor from the Veronica Roth book. The movie will open on March 21 in the US and April 4 in the UK.
