It seems that Hollywood cannot get enough of adapting novels for the big screen. We have had a number of huge successes in recent years, which has led to more and more books being adapted for movies. Now, another novel is set to get the Hollywood movie treatment.

Shailene Woodley in line for the lead role
It has been reported that Fox 2000 are making the movie adaptation of the John Green bestselling novel The Fault in Our Stars. Fox 2000 then brought on board Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who penned (500) Days of Summer, to write the screenplay for the film.
Now, it has been confirmed that Fox 2000 have brought Josh Boone on board to direct The Fault in Our Stars and he has his eye on casting The Descendants actress Shailene Woodley in the female lead. However, Shailene has yet to be officially offered the role and is only being considered for it at the moment.

Shailene Woodley has been impressing
Shailene Woodley proved what huge potential she has, with her performance in The Descendants and adding her to the cast of The Fault in Our Stars can only benefit the movie. It is expected that production on The Fault in Our Stars will begin sometime this summer, with the view to a 2014 release.
