Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf has revealed how he loved being a part of the forthcoming indie movie The Wettest County in the World, as it gave him a certain freedom that big budget movies do not allow. Shia does admit that he is grateful for the opportunities he has been given in the past but he has future ambitions that he needs to look towards fulfilling.
LaBeouf explained, "When you're a racehorse and you've got 20 trainers, all the trainers want the racehorse to run a certain way. What does the racehorse want to do? 'Wettest' is the first time they've ever asked the racehorse. I've been running for a team of people for a long time and I don't take any of it back. I've learned a great deal about a certain type of filmmaking. But I have ambitions toward another type of filmmaking that I haven't been allowed to engage in yet."
The Wettest County in the World is a crime drama which centres around a depression era, bootlegging family in the American South. As well as Shia LaBeouf the movie also stars Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman and Jessica Chastain and is set to be released in December of this year.
