Red Riding Hood actor Shiloh Fernandez is about to appear on the big screen in the movie Evil Dead but he has not exactly had the huge career that he almost could have. Shiloh was in the running to play Edward Cullen and was believed to be director Catherine Hardwicke's first choice, until Kristen Stewart persuaded her to cast Robert Pattinson.

Shiloh Fernandez was linked to the role
Fernandez was talking to Entertainmentwise at the South by Southwest Film Festival, when he explained, "Missed out? Or dodged out? We’re human beings you know, if you wish to be somebody else then… So for me that wasn’t the right thing, it wouldn’t have worked if I’d got in that place."
He added, "It’s hard to imagine, and put yourself in that place to be honest, but I’ve been super lucky with the people that I’ve got to work with. I’m grateful making movies that I love to do and that I think are awesome."

Shiloh Fernandez just missed out to Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson has since gone on to earn the big many, have the huge fan base and be cast in some very interesting roles, while Shiloh Fernandez has had it less easy, having to work had to be cast in his movies. Both men have been linked to the role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
