The X Factor creator and judge Simon Cowell has admitted that he has sometimes had to question whether what he is doing is right. He especially feels bad when he destroys people’s dreams or when wannabe contestants are too fragile and breakdown in front of him.
Simon explained, "Nothing is ever done too maliciously. I know sometimes we cross the line. We've had people who've come on and within five seconds we've said, 'Don't even go there. Too fragile,'' He added, ''I learned that with Susan Boyle. I remember the day after she came second and had that awful meltdown and I genuinely thought, 'Maybe we have failed here. Maybe we shouldn't be doing this.'”
Simon Cowell recently separated from his long term partner Mezhgan Hussainy who he had been engaged to for some time. Simon received even more bad news this week, when the premiere of The X Factor USA only managed to draw in 12.1 million viewers, much lower than the 20 million he had hoped.
