Simon Pegg has revealed that he and fellow comedy writer and actor, Nick Frost plan to write a new comedy together sometime in the future. However, he does insist that it will not be a sequel to their alien comedy Paul as it takes too long to create the aliens in post production.
Pegg explained, "Nick and I have just come up with an idea which we want to do as soon as possible," While Frost added, "It's just about time and fitting it all in. We like working so it's good to have a bunch of things ready to go. That's the issue when you generate a lot of your own work, people think, 'Why don't you do more films?' It's quite difficult because you have to write it."
Simon is currently writing a new project, titled The World’s End, with his Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz co writer Edgar Wright. The World’s End will complete what Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright call “The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy”, which consists of Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End. The World’s End is due to hit cinemas in 2014.
