Star Trek actor Simon Pegg, who will be reprising his role as Scotty in the J.J. Abrams directed sequel Star Trek 2, has been talking about what fans can expect from the second instalment of the Star Trek reboot. Simon also admitted that he takes a lot of influence in his acting from J.J. Abrams.

Pegg explained, “It’s all about space. It’s about the final frontier. And the one before it. I know it’s boring, but one thing J.J installed in all of us is the importance of giving the audience everything they can get from the experience itself.”
Earlier this year there was outrage among the Star Trek 2 cast and crew as a picture from the set of the movie was leaked online. This infuriated J.J. Abrams and it was revealed by Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto that some of the cast were worried about the repercussions of the leaked photo.

Star Trek 2 producer Alex Kurtzman recently discussed the potential plot of the Star Trek sequel, claiming that everything is far from rosy between the Star Trek characters. Star Trek 2 is currently expected to be released on May 17, 2013.
