Simone Thomalla is showing the entertainment industry that she is not a woman who will allow others to insult or defame her without her fighting back. She was put in the media spotlight by the tabloid "Closer" in December 2012 when it wrote an article and intimated that her beautiful body had recently received some plastic surgery enhancements and they pointed to a scar on her body as proof of such a suggestion.
Many actresses would not have fought back and would likely have let the tabloid go unpunished but the tabloid seems to have underestimated the fighting spirit that lies within the gorgeous actress. She sued the tabloid stating that yes there is a scar but it had been there for several years and that her body had not been surgically enhanced.
The courts have ruled that the gossip magazine cannot use the phrase "suddenly with great scar in the neck" but there is still one more matter before the courts and that is concerning Simone Thomalla's claim of compensation for pain and suffering. She wants 20,000 euros for pain and suffering but so far the Munich district court has rejected this claim in 2013 and now that finding is being appealed.
The intriguing aspect of Simone Thomalla's fight for many entertainment insiders is that it seems she has tired of being subject to scandalous rumours and one must wonder if she is at the forefront of a new philosophy within the acting community.
For years actors, in particular high-profile actors would not fight the rumours of the tabloids but Simone Thomalla's willingness to fight back and suggests there may be a change in philosophy concerning such attacks on their personas.
Simone Thomalla, a beautiful actress who decided to fight back against the tabloids and in the process is sending a message that she is not one whom anyone is going to intimidate.
