Gary Lightbody, the frontman of Snow Patrol, has revealed how he suffered from a severe case of writers block before managing to pen the band’s latest album. Gary admits that the only way he could get through it was to just keep writing gibberish until the good stuff eventually found its way.
Lightbody explains, "You can't open your laptop, you can't look at a blank page and you can't pick up a pen. The only cure is picking a pen up and start writing whatever gibberish is in your head at the time. Writing through the gibberish and drawing it out of you like some kind of poison."
Snow Patrol have been together since way back in 1994 but where not really known on the mainstream music scene until their breakthrough album Final Straw in 2003. The band are set to release their upcoming sixth album Fallen Empires in November.
