For the last 3 years, Solenn Heussaff has been a very busy celebrity in her native country—Philippines. Just this year alone, she made countless of TV appearances and starred in a movie that was a huge success and in a movie that didn’t do as expected.
On January 30, 2013, the romantic drama film “Seduction” was released in the Philippines. Solenn was the female protagonist in the film—she played the role of Sophia alongside actor Richard Gutierrez, who was the male protagonist and Sarah Lahbati, who played a supporting role in the film. Even though it garnered positive reviews from the press, it was a huge financial disappointment.
On November 6, 2013, the comedy film “Status: It’s Complicated” was released to hundreds of theaters across the Philippines. Ms. Heussaff portrayed the role of Sylvia, and the movie was directed by Chris Martinez. Unlike the movie Seduction, this film managed to garner great success at the box office.
Currently, this actress can be seen hosting two television shows by the name of “Sunday All Stars” and “Fashbook”. On top of this, she can be seen across her country promoting her second album—SOS, which she released in August. She has already been awarded a platinum award for the high sales of her first album—and it appears that this will happen too with her newest CD—because it's selling pretty well.
