Actress Sophia Bush has proved just how talented she is over the years, enjoying a very successful acting career since first bursting onto the scene in the hit television series One Tree Hill back in 2003. Since then, Sophia has gone on to star in a number of projects, showing just what a diverse star she can be.
In her latest role, as Erin Lindsay, Sophia Bush plays a tough cop in the hit series Chicago PD, a rare role of a tough female character. There has been a distinct lack of tough female roles on television over the years and Sophia has opened up about this, admitting that she feels there should be many more available.
Bush explained, "I don’t think that women are inherently flighty. I think we get described that way. I think very often get written that way. And I think it’s a disservice to our gender. I think that woman are incredibly strong and intuitive and smart in situations like the one’s I find myself in on the show."
Chicago PD is a spin off from the hit television series Chicago Fire, in which Sophia Bush also appeared, and is currently in its first season, airing on NBC. You can catch Sophia Bush in her role as Erin Lindsay, along with the rest of the cast, when Chicago PD season one continues to air on NBC on Wednesday evenings.
