We have seen a huge amount of women turning to cosmetic surgery in the pursuit of perfection for many years now but it seems that more and more people are resorting to these drastic measures, as they feel they need to do something to make themselves look and feel better. However there is a newer trend that has got a lot of people talking recent, and that is genital surgery.
A recent article was released about the amount of girls that have been going in search of genital cosmetic surgery and it has clearly hit a nerve with the beautiful actress Sophia Bush, who decided to share the article with her social media followers. Along with a link to the article, Sophia went on to urge women around the world to be happy with the body they have and stop chasing unrealistic perfection.
Bush explained, "Whatever ur (sic) lady parts look like, they're perfect. Girls should NOT be seeking surgery b/c (because) of airbrushed www (Internet) imagery. The fact that as a society we are mounting so much pressure on young women that now they're modifying their most private parts depresses me. There is no such thing as 'perfect,' in any regard. There is you. Everyone is different, beautiful, unique. In ALL aspects. Embrace it."
It is always good to see a celebrity trying to encourage people to be happy with themselves but it is not going to change the fact that there are always going to be women who want to look and feel better about themselves, even if they look perfect the way they are.
