Sophia Myles, best known for Tristan & Isolde and the Underworld films, has just joined the cast of Transformers 4. It's not clear who she will be playing as plot details are being kept under wraps.
All we know so far is that the film will be featuring an almost entirely new cast, and will focus on a completely different story to the first three films. We know that Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz are playing a father/daughter duo, and Kelsey Grammer is said to be playing the bad guy in the film. In addition to Wahlberg, Grammer, Peltz, and now Myles, the film also stars Jack Reynor and Stanley Tucci.
The film will be directed by Michael Bay and be based on a script from Ehren Kruger. Bay and Steven Spielberg will be producing and there's no word on whether this film will be used as a launching point for another franchise, but all signs point to it being likely.
Myles was most recently seen in 'Outlander' in 2008, and she will next be seen in 'Blackwood' and 'Gallows Hill'. The film is still in pre-production right now, but the studio is reportedly eyeing a 2014 summer release.
